Student cannot take my test

  1. This problem occurs most often when a professor uses the "open in a new window" option when deploying a test. The most likely culprit is a "popup blocker". Because there are so many of these programs in existence it is impossible to cover them all. The most common solution is to hold the "CTRL" button and then click the link to take the exam. This should override the blocker.

  2. If the student(s) still cannot access the test, please turn off the option to "open in a new window"
    To do this:

Go to your course
Enter the Control Panel
Find where you made the test available (Assignments, Course Documents, etc)
Find the test in question and click the "Modify" button
Click "Modify the test options"
Under "Test Information" there is a radio button yes and no for "Launch Item in an External Window"; Select "No" and press the "Submit" button.
