Blackboard Timed Test IE 8 Problem
Internet Explorer 8 will not display the test timer button correctly in a timed Blackboard test unless the user selects to use the browser in "Compatibility View" prior to taking the exam.
If IE8 is not set to Compatibility View mode, the button will cover much of the screen and prevent the student from completing the test. The picture below, illustrates the bug:
Students are advised to use Firefox to take Blackboard timed test.
If IE 8 must be used to take a Blackboard timed test, please make the following changes in IE 8 are made PRIOR to taking the test:
Select "Tools" from the right side of the IE 8 browser.
Select "Comatibility View" from the tools pulldown menu.
